Iva Winona Roupe, age 76, of Texas City, Texas and formally of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, passed away at her residence on Saturday, July 26, 2008 with her son and daughter by her side. Iva was born March 1, 1932 to Rose (McCord) Eddy in Morgantown, West Virginia. Iva was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son Larry, of Hitchcock, Texas and daughter Nina Wood of Texas City, Texas; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, four brothers, three sisters and numerous relatives and friends.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years George Roupe; mother Rose Eddy; step-father Terry Eddy; mother and father-in-law; 1 brother; 1 sister and 1 granddaughter.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice Care Team, Inc., Range Rider TAR team and the very special angels that granted Iva's final wishes.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008 from 7pm - 9 pm at Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, West Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, West Virginia on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Brewer Cemetery in Fairview, West Virginia.
