Bessie O. Tennant, 102, of Jakes Run died Sunday, June 10, 2007 in the Respa Center West in Waynesburg, PA just 27 days short of her 103rd birthday.
She was born July 7, 1904 at Jakes Run, a daughter of the late George Wright and Lucy Ellen Roupe Wright.
Mrs. Tennant was a homemaker and she attended the former Fox Chapel at Mt. Morris, PA.
Surviving are one son & daughter-in-law, Dr. Harry Richard Tennant and his wife Ann of Yuma, Arizona; one daughter & son-in-law, Ruth Arnett and her husband Bob of Jakes Run; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Ray Tennant in 1984; three sisters, Belva Walls, Stella Statler, and Eva Stull; and one brother, Jack Wright.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Pastor Edward Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
