Cody Shriver, 16, of Daybrook died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Daybrook.

He was born November 9, 1990 at Morgantown, a son of Jeffrey L Shriver and Jodie DeVine Shriver of Daybrook.

Cody was a sophomore at Clay-Battelle High School and was currently playing on the school baseball team. He loved all types of sports, but his favorite was football. He liked all types of hunting, but best of all was coon hunting. Fishing and riding motorcyles were other past times that he enjoyed. Best of all he like to spend time with his family and buddies.

He attended the Daybrook Church of Christ.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Taylor Shriver and Madison Shriver, both at home; his paternal grandparents, Gary and Janet Shriver of Daybrook; paternal great-grandparents, Haskell and Maxine Tennant of Crossroads; maternal grandparents, Wilford "Rip" and Bonnie DeVine of Daybrook; paternal aunts and uncles, Jami and Scott Watson of Morgantown and Jason and Andrea Shriver of Crossroads; maternal aunts and uncles, Donna and Merle Varner of Pentress and Pam and Bruce Arnett of Jakes Run; cousins, Zack, Alex, Josh, Dina, Kip, Brady, Mindy, Marsha, and a host of friends.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Saturday with Evangelist Aaron Snider officiating. Interment will follow on the Shriver Family Farm at Daybrook.
