Airetta Hunt, 81, of Canton, Ohio; formerly of Burton, WV died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
She was born May 31, 1919 in Burton, WV a daughter of the late Jennie Lemley Huggins and grandaughter of Martha Jane and Anthony Lemley who raised her.
Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Burton.She was a graduate of Hundred High School and was employed for several years at Westinghouse in Fairmont.
She is survived by a son, Kim Hunt, of Canton, Ohio; one sister and spouse, Lottie and Fred Brown of Wheeling; two brothers and spouses, Charles and Kathy Huggins of Chicago, IL and Kenneth and Lois Huggins of Lynchburg, VA; a brother-in-law, Ralph Martino, and a sister-in-law, Jean Huggins; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Samuel E. Hunt, who died March 4, 2001; two sisters, Betty Morrison and June Martino; a brother, Melvin Huggins.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from noon until 1:00 PM Saturday.Services will be held at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Warren Martens officiating.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
