Alice Wise, 96, of Louisville, KY died Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Norton Audobon Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born June 10, 1919 at Fairview, WV, a daughter of the late Enos E. Tennant and Ottie E. McCord Tennant.
Mrs. Wise was retired from J. C. Penney where she worked as a cashier/clerk.
While living in West Virginia Mrs. Wise was a member of the Olive United Methodist Church where she was active in different church activities. Once she moved to Kentucky she was a member of the Summit Heights United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet Berry of Newark, Ohio, Nancy Netherton and Lana Mueller, both of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel M. Wise, who died June 1, 1998; three brothers, Raymer Tennant, Maynard Tennant, and Ernest Tennant; and two sisters, Alma Joseph and Dessie Parrish.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV.
