Alice Y. Nuzum, 69, of Hundred, WV died Monday, February 18, 2008, just one day short of her 70th birthday, in the Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born February 19, 1938 at Meadowbrook, WV, a daughter of the late Paul W. Crayton and Inez Carson Crayton.

Mrs. Nuzum was a former employee of the Western Auto store in Hundred and Core's Discount Center in Burton.

She was a member of the Hundred Volunteer Fire Dept since 1986 and of which she served as the treasurer most of the time. She was a member of the Hundred Church of Christ.

Surviving are one son, Brian D. Nuzum of Mattoon, IL; three daughters, Debra Hostutler of Hundred, Stephanie Foltz of Dekalb, IL, and Denise McDonnell of Sierra Vista, AZ; one brother, Gary Crayton, of Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Karen Strothers of Bridgeport, WV; thirteen grandchildren; and one foster Grandson, Chris Tedrow, who made his home with Mrs. Nuzum.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Patty Toothman, Anna Lee Price, and Doris Carpenter; one brother, Paul Crayton, Jr., and one granddaughter, Kathryn Foltz.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
