Amanda Gorby, 94, of Georgetown Community, Cameron, WV did Monday, February 13, 2017 in the Cameron Continuous Care Center.

She was born September 27, 1922 in Wetzel County, a daughter of the late Wiley Alvin Williams and Elsie Mae Burkhardt Williams.

Mrs. Gorby was a homemaker.She had previously attended the Church of Christ.

Surviving are six sons, Alvin Gorby of Cameron, Larry David Gorby of Littleton, Joe Gorby of Georgetown, Thomas E. Gorby of Charleston, Don Lee Gorby of Littleton, and Frank Gorby of Littleton; five daughters, Dora Alice Prendergast of Cameron, Nellie Louise Tustin of Wind Ridge, PA, Wanda Mae Vatagliano of Carmichaels, PA, Erma Barnhart of Deep Valley, PA and Christine Johnson of Jollytown, PA; two half-brothers, Homer Williams of Silver Hill and Roland Williams of New Martinsville; and two half-sisters, Shirley Hyer of New Martinsville and Sheila VanScyoc of New Martinsville; twenty six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Gorby; one son, Charles Howard Gorby, who died as an infant; two sisters, Mary Riter and Erma Elson; and three brothers, Austin Williams, Alvin Williams, and John Williams.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-9 PM Thursday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with Pastor Larry Holtz officiating.Interment will follow in the Gorby Cemetery near Georgetown.
