Aretis V. Heflin, 92, of Core, WV died at home on June 12, 2008. She was born September 10, 1915 in Core, WV.
She is the daughter of the late Elvin Shanks and Jesse Neely Shanks. She is survived by her husband Ted Heflin.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Doris Eleanor Deavers of Granville, WV, Charlene Eveland of Columbia, MD, and Carolyn Ammons of Daybrook, WV; one brother Gerald Shanks of Core, WV; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Edward Earl Delaney; one son Kenneth Delaney; and one brother Hillis Shanks.
Friends and Family may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV on Sunday June 15th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be Monday June 16th at 11:00 AM with the Minister Bill NeSmith officiating. Interment will follow at the Zoar Cemetery in Morgantown, WV.
