Audrey Levonne Smith Carrico, 82 of (Mooresville Community) Core, WV died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 while under the care of Hospice at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
She was born March 28, 1931 at Smithfield, PA a daughter of the late Albert Smith and Margaret Braddee Smith.
Mrs. Carrico worked as a manager at Lawson's Milk Company in Rootstown, OH, for many years under she retired to West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hugo D. Carrico, Sr; five brothers, Charles Smith, Chester Smith, Ray Smith, Walter Smith, and Elmer Smith; and four sisters, Ruth Roberts, Priscilla Roberts, Ada Kozma, and Patty Hartz.
Surviving are three sons, Dave Hartley and wife Karen of Rootstown, OH, Rei Hartley and wife Michele of Hartville, OH, and Hugo Carrico III and wife Tamara of Core; five grandsons, Michael Hartley of Stow, OH, Nathan Hartley of Studio City, CA, Rudy Carrico of Morgantown, and Ethan and Levi Carrico of Core; two granddaughters, Sara Hartley Cook and husband Mike of Rootstown, OH and Danielle Hartley of Washington, DC; four great-grandsons, Colton and Connor Cook of Rootstown, OH, Harrison Hartley of Stow, OH, and Branson Carrico of Morgantown; two great-granddaughters, Morgan Cook of Rootstown, OH and Payton Slavinsky of Morgantown; and two sisters, Rose Grund of Smithfield, PA and Deloris Djurisich of Stow, OH.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
