Barbara McCoy, 72, of Blacksville, WV died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born October 25, 1938 at Philippi, WV, a daughter of the late Alva Ray Bolyard and Sybil Ruth Miller Bolyard.
Barb worked as a cook at the Big "G" Restaurant in Blacksville for many years. She was a protestant by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Carley McCoy; two sons, Rodney Stieringer of Daybrook and Daniel McCoy of Blacksville; two daughters, Tammie Stieringer of Spraggs, PA and Kim Paugh of Morgantown; one step-daughter, Tina Kaye Raber of Spraggs; one brother, Melvin Bolyard of Fairmont; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James D. Stieringer; her first husband, James Stieringer; one brother, Thomas Bolyard; and two sisters, Juanita Cook and Leanna Trout.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Thursday with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Preston County.
