Berldine Mills, 83, of Brave, PA, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA.
She was born January 30, 1928 at Bethlehem, WV, a daughter of the late Francis Marion Hammond and Sarah Ellen Holbert Hammond.
Mrs. Mills was a homemaker and a member of the Kents Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her nine children, Vera Smith of Rivesville, WV, Mary Blake of Spraggs, PA, Judy Mills of Enterprise, WV, Charles Rose, of Brave, PA, Jack Rose of Carmichaels, PA, Richard Rose of Enterprise, WV, Ronald Rose of Waynesburg, PA, Democrat Mills of Gainesville, VA, and Ramona Mills of Waynesburg, PA; two brothers, William Hammond of Four States, WV and James Hammond of Fairmont, WV; three sisters, Linda Stevenski of Monongah, WV, Martha Sutcliffe of Mineral Ridge, OH, and Patty Clark of Ohio; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Democrate Mills; two sisters, Maxine Hammond and Betty Anglin; one son, Harold Rose, Jr; two brothers, Denzil Hammond and Ted Hammond; and one great-grandson, Brennan Rose.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Sherman Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV.
