Bessie C. Bean, 74, of Blacksville (MacDale Community) died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at her residence.
Mrs. Bean was born September 13, 1931 at Pierce, WV a daughter of the late George Sayers and Bessie Sheppard Sayers.
Mrs. Bean was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Blacksville Food Pantry. She attended the Blacksville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Mary Sollars of Mt. Morris, PA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Bean; five brothers, Charles Sayers, John Sayers, Joseph Sayers, George Sayers Jr, and Harry Sayers; and two sisters, Nellie Warnick and Anna King.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Friends may also call from 11:00 AM until the service time at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Nethkin Hill United Methodist Church in Elk Garden, WV with the Rev. David Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Nethkin Hill Cemetery at Elk Garden, WV
