Betta Jane Cummins Copeland, 72, of 131 Mine Road, New Freeport, PA died Friday June 2, 2006 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born July 19,1933, a daughter of Alice Minor Cummins of Valparaiso, Indiana and the late Arthur Owen Cummins.
Jane was a homemaker and a member of the Jakes Run Assembly of God.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Lyle Copeland, Sr, whom she married on December 31, 1950. Three sons and spouses, Robert Lyle Copeland, Jr, of New Freeport, PA, Randolph Lee (Randy) and his wife Valerie of Mt. Morris, PA, and Ronald Lynn and his wife Joyce of Morgantown; two daughters and spouses, Nancy Jane and her husband David Eddy of Cassville and Mona J. and her husband, Ronnie Vitello of New Freeport, PA; three brothers, Jim Cummins of Jakes Run, Joe Cummins of Alexandria, Va, and John E. Cummins of Valparaiso, Indiana; one sister, Ruth Parker of Valparaiso, Indiana; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward A. Cummins.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 Sunday and from 12:00 Noon until the service time at 1:00 PM Monday in the Jakes Run Assembly of God. Services will be held at 1:00 PM with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating.
Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
