BILLIE LEE GORBY
Billie Lee Gorby, 89, of Hundred, WV died Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born July 7, 1936 to parents Ira W. and Austie O. Postlethwait Yoho in Wileyville, WV.
“Billie Lee” was a loving wife to her high school sweetheart (Damon) LaMoyne Gorby (deceased 2006), a devoted mother to five children, and a great friend to so many who knew her.
She enjoyed collecting and decorating with antiques, taking spontaneous trips, and scrap booking years of memory books for “all” of her 11 grandchildren. She loved crafting, creating family memories and being her families supportive sport fan. Spending time and laughing with close friends were also favorite past times.
Preceding here in death: her husband, parents, siblings, and one daughter, Kathy (Gorby) Arbogast. Surviving are four children: Brad (Denise) Gorby, Tom Gorby, Cindy (Tom) Goodwin, and Chris (Rona) Gorby. She had 11 grandchildren and some precious great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to send a sincere “thank you” to Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation for the compassionate care given by the staff, care-takers and friends she made while residing in their care. Also, a “thank you” to Sharon (Gorby) Glover, sister-in-law, for being a regular visitor and close friend.
Billie, or known as “Mamm” by most family, will be lovingly missed. In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated and placed beside her late husband in the Harmony Cemetery in Burton. All services will remain private as to her request.
