Blake Elaine Hibbs McCoy, 61, of Jakes Run went to be with Jesus on June 11, 2006 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born August 30, 1944, at Morgantown, WV a daughter of the late Charles Minor Hibbs and Edith Eileen Henkins Hibbs Roupe.
Blake was a housewife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Jakes Run Assembly of God and was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving are two daughters & spouses, Frankie & Lonnie Barr of Jakes Run and Tammy McCoy and Jesse Henline of Jakes Run; three sons & spouses, Dennis & Star McCoy of Morgantown, Terry and Shirley McCoy of Dellslow, and Stephen and Laurie McCoy of Gary, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren, Charles, Nathan, Joseph, Monica, Chris, Zackery, Kyrstan, Cody, Summer, Ashley, Kimberly, Marissa, Kaitlyn, and Gabriella; two sisters, Helen Roupe of Holbrook, PA and Reitha Peterson of Glascow, KY; three brothers, Charles Hibbs of Pentress, George Hibbs of Portland, TN, and Harold Hibbs of Pentress; one uncle, George Ross Hibbs of Little Rock, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Postlethwaite, brother, John Hibbs, and her ex-husband, Dennis McCoy.
Friends may call at the Jakes Run Assembly of God from 4-9 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until the service hour at 11:00AM on Wednesday. Services will be held at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
