Brenda Joyce Ammons, 75, of Jakes Run Community, Fairview, WV died Friday, March 11, 2016 at her residence.
She was born February 19, 1941 at Morgantown, a daughter of the late George Renner and Virginia Walls Renner.
Mrs. Ammons was a homemaker and loved to quilt.
Surviving are her husband, Buddy Ammons; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Ammons and his wife Judy of Severn, Maryland; one daughter, Marlene Ammons of Madison, North Carolina; and two sisters, Irene Coulter and Opal Compton, both of Morgantown.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Rebecca Ammons; one brother, Bill Walls; and two sisters, Margaret Fletcher and Ruth Fletcher.
The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the staff of Morgantown Hospice for their care and kindness show to Brenda and her family during her illness.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
