Carol Imogene Wise, 87, of Poca died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Hospice in South Charleston following an illness of Alzheimer's.
Imogene was born on July 7, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Lesley and Lexie Moore. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to work in the garden and make wonderful meals for her family. She also decorated many wedding and birthday cakes for her family and friends.
Mrs. Wise attended Cross Lanes Bible Church.
She was precededin death by her oldest son, Tommy Wise, and her youngest brother, Leonard Dale Moore.
Surviving are her husband, Victor, who took care of her during the last few years of her illness. Her children and their spouses, Vicki Webb (Ed) of Poca and Ronald Wise (Tracey) of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Ben Wise, Terry Wise, Kelly Holmes, Brian Webb, Jennifer George and Ashley Wise, and 10 great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Varner Moore and Gail Church, and a special friend, Shirley Estep.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Hospice. They were very caring and loving during her last few weeks of life. If so led, contributions may be made to Hospice in memory of my wife and mother.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Saturday. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery, Wadestown, WV.
