CAROLYN J. SPITZNOGLE

Carolyn J. Spitznogle, 78 of Mount Morris, PA peacefully passed with family by her side on September 13, 2021.

She was born on February 19, 1943, the daughter of the late James E. and Mary Ellen Kerns.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Arthur “Albert” Spitznogle. She is also survived by her five beloved children; Jenny Nicholson (Bradley) of Mt. Morris, PA; Mary “Peggy” Darnell (Jeff) of Morgantown, WV; Lesa Spitznogle of Mt. Morris, PA; Arthur James “Eddy” Spitznogle (Karen) of Mt. Morris PA; and Tammy Mooney (Steve) of Ninevah, PA. Ten grandchildren:  Jason, Andrew, Kellie, Lori, Dillan, Emily, Jake, Dalton, Alex, and Heather. Six great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

She worked at Mon General Hospital as an LPN for several years.

Carolyn was a proud and loving mother.  She often spoke of her children as her greatest achievement and the treasure of her life.  Her children can not express the pain in their hearts in the loss of their mother.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 5-8 PM Wednesday, September 15, 2021.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 16, 2021,  with Pastor Jake Judy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery at Mt. Morris, PA.
