Carrie Tarnowsky, 96, of Morgantown, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born November 11, 1918 in Brownsville, PA, a daughter of the late Walter F. McCune and Easterlilly Husher McCune.
Mrs. Tarnowsky was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Morgantown.
Surviving are one son, Steve Tarnowsky of Greenville,TN; one daughter, Joan Capuder of Morgantown; one brother, Charles McCune of Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Tarnowsky, who died on March 8, 1997; two daughters, Roberta Fowler and Patricia Ashburn; one son, Alexander (Butch) Fowler, Jr.; and six brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Morgantown from 6-9 PM Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday with Father Chris Turner as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
