CHARLES COPELAND

          Charles Wayne Copeland, 76, of Wadestown, WV died Friday, January 10, 2020 at his residence.

          He was born August 12, 1943 at Waynesburg, PA a son of the late Charles “Jack” Willis Copeland and Francies “Frannie” Ellen Varner Copeland.

          Mr. Copeland was a retired coal miner and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

          He was a member of both the Olive United Methodist Church and the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.

          Surviving are his wife, Janice Wolfe Copeland; one son and his wife, Michael Copeland and his wife Carol of Morgantown; one daughter Barbara Watkins of Reedsville; one brother, Glenn Copeland of Core; two grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Copeland and Sarah Watkins; and two great-granddaughters, Serena Renee Bridges and Alexis Sky Bridges.

          Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Virginia Ellen Copeland; and one great-grandchild, Avery Lane Bridges.

          At the request of the deceased his body will be cremated.  A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.

          The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV is in charge of arrangements.
