Charles Lee Smith, 64, of Sandyville passed away at his home on August 25, 2014. He was born October 6, 1949 at Sandyville, son of the late Delbert and Mary McVay Smith. He retired from Pechiney Rolled Products with over 30 years of service. He was a Christian and attended Sandyville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, especially rabbit hunting and watching football. He is survived by his wife Janice Jones Smith; son Ricky (Elizabeth) Smith of Parkersburg; Daughter Crystal (Tracy) Chase of Ripley; step sons Lee (Shannon) Delaney of Hundred and Michael (Susan) Delaney of Fairmont; sisters Leola Hess of Sandyville, Betty (Carl) Cochran of Florida, Reba (Wade) Riggs of Florida, Cathy (Terry) Miller of Ravenswood and Dottie Enoch of Ravenswood; grandchildren Hannah, Riley, Josh, Jake, Alex and Leah. In honoring his wishes a private service will be held with no public viewing.
A graveside service will be held at the Shriver Cemetery near Hundred on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM.
Burial will follow in the Shriver Cemetery.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV is in charge of local arrangements.
