Charles Robert “Chuckie” Calvert, 12, of Waynesburg, PA died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
He was born November 7, 2003 in Morgantown, WV, a son of Richard Calvert and Judy Bell Calvert.
Chuckie was a 5th grade student at Waynesburg Central Elementary School. He was member of the Fairall United Methodist Church Dart Ball League and the Greene County 4-H Robotics Club. He loved his chickens and loved to ride 4-wheelers. Trapping was a favorite pastime along with walking with his donkey following him.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Delbert Calvert; two sisters, Johnna Calvert and Sarah Calvert, all at home; his paternal grandfather, Charles Calvert, a resident of Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg; his maternal grandfather, Robert Bell of Spraggs; his maternal grandmother, Shirley A. Bell of Greensboro; one aunt, Rhonda McDaniel of Berkeley Springs, WV; and two cousins, Ciara McDaniel and Sharla McDaniel; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mildred Lucille Calvert.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 3-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Sunday with Pastor Jake Judy and Rev. Kathy Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
