Chester G. Schrecengost, 95, of (Days Run Community) Fairview, WV died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his residence.
He was born February 26, 1922 at Kittaning, PA, a son of the late George B. Schrecengost and Daisy Cunningham Schrecengost.
Mr. Schrecengost was a retired truck driver. He retired last working for the G M Williams Trucking Company in Niles, Ohio. He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Surviving are one daughter and a son-in-law, Sandy and James Nichols, with whom he made his home, of Daybrook; one brother and his wife, Jack and Vivian Schrecengost of Lady Lake, Florida; two sisters and their spouses, Doris and Walter Church of Newton Falls, Ohio and Dwila Hawkins of Howland, Ohio; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Jean Rider Schrecengost; two sons, James Schrecengost and George Schrecengost; one brother, Harold Schrecengost; and three sisters, Mary Lower, Helen Smith, and Florence Garrison.
At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. Mr. Schrecengost has chosen cremation as his method of final disposition.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
