Christina Marie Neely Tenney, 37, of Fredericktown, PA died Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Clairton, PA having fought a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 17, 1978 in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of John Neely and Shirley Anderson Neely of New Freeport, PA.
Christina graduated in 1996 from West Greene High School where she served as the class valedictorian.She went 4 years to Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA.
Following high school and college she worked at various jobs which included a lab technician, telemarketer, and a certified nursing assistant.
Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband, Jeremy Tenney; two daughters, Hazel Tenney and Naomi Tenney; one brother, Johnny Neely of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Vicky Soles of New Freeport, PA and Carol Patterson of Littleton, WV; her maternal grandmother, Hazel Anderson, a resident of Rolling Meadows Nursing Facility in Waynesburg, PA; a special aunt, Amy Rosalie Neely Noah and her husband Lonnie Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wilbur Anderson, and her paternal grandparents, Andrew Neely and Ida “Ann” Smith Neely.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Tuesday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 8:00 PM Tuesday with the Rev. Cynthia Deter officiating.
