Clarence E. “Casey” Forst, 85, of Jakes Run, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1931 at Milford, Nebraska, a son of the late Matthew Forst and Lydia Forst.
Casey was self-employed as a telephone equipment installer. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the NRA.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Carol Stuyvesant Swaniger Forst; two sons and their spouses, Mitch & Judy Forst of Michigan and Matt & Yukie Forst of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one daughter, Jeni Hodge of Washington, Michigan; three brothers and their spouses, Lawrence & Bertha Forst of California, Don & Pat Forst of Nebraska, and Francis & Margaret Forst of Colorado; one sister, Katherine Zorrf of Maryland; three step-sons and their spouses, Ron & Barb Swaniger of Pentress, Ryan & Carrie Swaniger of Morgantown, and Rustin & Tina Swaniger of Core; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Forst and Frederick Forst, and by two sisters, Dorothy Mason and Evelyn Forst.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
