Dale Pyles, 82, of Silverhill Community, New Martinsville, WV died Monday, May 10, 2004 at his residence.
He was born February 7, 1922 at Silverhill a son of the late Elmer Pyles and Minnie McFadden Pyles.
Mr. Pyles was a retired employee of the West Virginia Department of Highways.He was a member of the Cameron American Legion Post #18 and a member of the Big Run Christian Church.Mr. Pyles was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Cooper Pyles; one son, David Pyles of Cameron; one daughter, Dalena Riggs, of Cameron; one brother, Floyd Pyles of Silverhill; and five granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Pyles, three sisters, Violet Johnson, Pansy Huggins, Burnis Pyles; and one son Michael Pyles, who died as an infant.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-9 PM Wednesday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. Gerry Ouellette officiating.Interment will follow in the Meadowdale Cemetery.
