DAVID WAYNE METZ
David Wayne Metz, 46, of Burton, WV died Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his residence.
He was born April 15, 1974 at Elyria, Ohio, a son of the late William Alfred “Sonny” Metz and Geraldine Gay Parker Metz.
Dave worked as an operating engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Gina Reid Metz; one daughter, Adahlia; two brothers and their spouses, Gerald and Sherry Metz of Burton and Tommy Lee and Heather Metz of Hepzibah; one sister and her spouse, Amy and Mike Bragg of Hundred; and seven nieces and nephews, Savannah Bragg, Wyatt Metz, Emily Metz, Tommy Metz, Jr, Hunter Metz, Hannah Metz, Gracie Metz, Frankie, and Miriah.
All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will be in the Yost Cemetery.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.

Gene and I want to send our deepest condolences for the loss of one of the best neighbor and friend a person could have. Many many times Kirt would spend his day over the Metz's and Dave and Gerald would look after him and feed him and teach him the ways of the world as they knew and lived it. Kirt looked up to them as brothers and we always considered them family. We're sorry for your loss and a great loss it is. Dave was truly one of a kind. A great person, caring, kind and always extended a helping hand. As Kirt has said, he's sure that Sonny is looking down and probably saying, "Now Pollock what'd you go and do that for." Daves with his dad now, may he rest in peace.
