Dennis Fred Crawford, 50, of Jakes Run, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 25, 1961 at Chicago, IL, a son of the late Robert E. Crawford and Patricia Bailey Crawford. Dennis had various jobs throughout his life. He had a great love for animals, and wasn't a stranger to anyone. He enjoyed listening to music of which old rock and roll was a favorite. He was fun to be around and had a contagious laugh.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Eddy Crawford; a step-son, Shawn Eddy of Cassville; a step-daughter, Melissa Boyers of Granville; two brothers, Robert E. Crawford, Jr. of Clarksburg and Eddie Crawford of Jakes Run; four sisters, Debra Marshall of Pentress, Sandra Owens of Clarksburg, Brenda Walls of Florida, and Vicki Dix of Jane Lew; and two step-grandchildren, Zackary Boyers and Jerry Boyers, Jr.Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is an identical twin brother, William Crawford, and a step-brother, Thomas Bush. Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Kevin Arkola officiating.
