DORIS JEAN SHUMAN
Doris Jean Shuman, 92, of Masontown, WV died Monday, September 15, 2025 at her residence.
She was born September 18, 1932 at Morgansville, WV, a daughter of the late Cornelius V. Cain and Ethel Anderson Cain.
Mrs. Shuman formerly worked at West Virginia University as a cook.
Surviving is one son, Randy Shuman and his wife Vicki of Lexington, North Carolina; two daughters and their spouses, Marla LaRue and her husband Tom of Burton and Marcie Casseday and her companion Eric Weaver of Masontown, WV; one brother, Gary Cain and his wife Joyce of Porters Falls; two sisters, Helen Ketzel Bickerstaff of Pine Grove and Carmen Christian of Ohio; six grandchildren, Andrea Brown, Randy Shuman II, Richie Casseday, Tyler Casseday, Evan Lee, and Nathan Casseday; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mansfield Neely Shuman who died December 21, 1979; and by several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton with Pastor Dale Dudgeon officiating. Interment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Gardens.
