Edward H. Wade, 90, of Silver Hill Community, New Martinsville, died Monday, August 10, 2015 in the Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale.

He was born September 17, 1924 at Littleton, a son of the late Homer Wade and Carrie Gorby Wade.

Mr. Wade worked his life as a farmer.

Surviving are four sons, Edward “Eddie” Wade of Littleton, Frank Wade of Wheeling, Sam Wade of Silver Hill, and Jerry Wade of Cameron; three daughters, Mary Anderson of Greentown, OH, Rose Blake of Moundsville, and Maxine Debolt of Bannen; one brother, Adam “Boggs” Wade of Cameron; five sisters, Martha “Mag” Tedrow of New Martinsville, Ruth Ebert of Littleton, Alice Sapp of Littleton, Marie Sapp of Bear Run, and Carolyn Sapp of Mt. Morris, PA; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Wade; five brothers, Elmer Wade, Raymond Wade, Chester Wade, Logan Wade, and George Wade; two sons, David Wade and Richard Wade and one daughter, Rebecca Wade, who all died as infants.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday with Pastor Diana Avelia officiating. Interment will follow in the Rice Ridge Cemetery.
