Erica Lynn Marshall, 25, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died as a result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, August 1, 2007.
Erica is survived by her mother, Terry Lynn Barr of Fairmont, her brother, SPC Ernest Lyndon Marshall, currently serving in Iraq, and her sister, Michaela Marie Greene. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Don Barr of Hundred and Madeline Bartus of Fairmont; two aunts; Tracy Barr of North Carolina and Treva and her husband BJ Gales of Fairmont; two uncles, Charles Barr and his wife Sylvia of Fairmont and Donald Barr of Baltimore, MD.
Erica's other relatives and friends include several cousins, a niece, a close family friend, Steve Brooks; several great aunts and great uncles; and a friend Harry Steptoe.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, Anna & Ted Barr, a great uncle Charles Barr, and her maternal grandparents, Frank Bartus Sr. and Thelma Haught.
Erica graduated from Glen Burnie High School in Maryland and spent much of her adult life working in North Carolina. She had a lively personality, loved sports, and was an avid Charlotte Panthers and Bobcats fan. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her many friends. She enjoyed spending with and had a deep love for her family.
A candle light memorial service was conducted by her friends and co-workers in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Friends will be received at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV Saturday from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with Reverend William A. Anderson presiding, assisted by Sister Anne Frances Bartus, CSJ.
Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Burton, WV.
