Essie Mae Metheny, 86, of Farragut, TN and formerly of the New Freeport, PA (Garrison Ridge) area went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, July 20, 2005 in Farragut. Essie was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis (Ben) Metheny, who died on June 19, 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Southerland of Florida; grandchildren, Wayne Metheny, his wife, Betsy, and their children, Ed, John, and Tony all of Farragut, TN; Tom and Tim Alwin both of Florida; several other grandchildren; a brother, Bud Gump of New Martinsville, WV; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday in the Click Funeral Home in Farragut.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at the Greene County Memorial Park in Jefferson, PA with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.
TheTennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV is in charge of local arrangements.
