Ethel Rose, 82, a resident of the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown for the past several years, and formerly of Daybrook, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the nursing facility.
Mrs. Rose was born November 1, 1927 at Maitland, WV, a daughter of the late Isaac Belcher and Minnie Helvey Belcher.
Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lee Rose and his wife Redis of Pineville, WV; one brother, Jim Belcher of Howard,Ohio and one sister, Bonnie Matthews of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Richard Rose, and five sisters Louise Belcher, Cynthia Belcher, Virgie Belcher, Rachel Belcher, and Thelma Belcher; and two brothers, Jesse Belcher and Basil Belcher.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-8 PM Wednesday and at the Calfee Funeral Home in Pineville, WV from 6-8 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday. Interment will follow in the Palms Memorial Gardens at Metheny, WV.
