Eugene E. (Gene) Rebold, 88, of Miracle Run Community, Fairview, WV died Monday, January 14, 2008 in the Golden Living Center in Morgantown, WV.
He was born November 1, 1919 at Morris, Oklahoma, a son of the late William Rebold and Clara Keyser Rebold.
Mr. Rebold was a retired employee of the Forest Construction Co. and a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Local #1687. He formerly attended the Jakes Run Assembly of God. Gene was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II.
Surviving are one son & spouse, Kyle and Sandy Rebold of Miracle Run; five grandchildren, Lisa Roupe, Charlie Wright, Travis Rebold, Kyle Rebold, Jr., and Cory Rebold; eight great-grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron, Andrew, and Alex Roupe, Mikayla and Ethan Wright, and Kylie and Cody Rebold; and five step-sisters, Alice Britton of Virginia Beach, VA, Minnie Dudley of Ohio, Rose Boggs of Rivesville, Doris Jean Blihar of Grant Town, and Mary Williard of Blacksville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Rebold who died on May 1, 2005; one son, Ronnie Rebold; four brothers, William Rebold, August Edward Rebold and two infant brothers; and his step-mother Grace Ada Rebold.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
