Eva M. Farley, 82, of Waynesburg, PA died Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Waynesburg.
She was born November 25, 1929 at Garrison, PA, a daughter of the late Jesse B. Anderson and Lillie M. Pethtel Anderson.
Mrs. Farley was retired from Packard Electric in 1983. She was a part time employee of Hixie's General Store at Garrison for several years.
Her hobbies included, bingo, bowling, knitting, crocheting, fishing, dart ball and playing cards with friends.
She was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church at Garrison, however she had been attending the Whiteley Creek Community Church for the past three years. She was also a member of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 Ladies Auxillary of Hundred. Eva was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Farley, whom she married on June 2, 1991; two sons and their spouses, Steven Hixenbaugh and his wife Carol of Waynesburg and Danny Lee Hixenbaugh and wife Nancy of Warren, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and John Moore of Warren; one step-daughter, Kitty Lindsey of Florida; one brother, Fred Anderson of Aliquippa, PA and one sister, Naomi Unkefer of Florida; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey and Chasity Hixenbaugh of Waynesburg, Christine Barnhart of New Freeport, Michael Moore, Kimberly Moore and Thomas Hixenbaugh all of Warren, Steven Hixenbaugh of Columbus, and Danielle Hixenbaugh of Mt. Dora, FL; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary & Levi Barnhart, Tasia Ratkovich, and Riley Hixenbaugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 37 years, Glen Hixenbaugh. The couple was married on July 7, 1947 and Glen died on January 17, 1984. Also preceding her in death are four brothers, Ray Anderson, Wilbur Anderson, Perry Anderson, and Charles Junior Anderson.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at 1:00 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday with Rev. Joe Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery, Ned, PA.
