Ezela E. Himmelrick passed on from life at the Golden Living Center in Morgantown on Monday, January 26, 2015.

Born in Burton, WV to Allen Maitland Rush and Gracie Belle Kiger Rush on April 8, 1923, the third of six children.

Ezela married Thomas C. Himmelrick on February 22, 1941 where afterwards they lived in the Pittsburgh, PA area until after World War II.

Thomas and Ezela made their home in Burton/Hundred area for the remainder of their lives where they reared three children: Charlotte, her husband Lloyd Lemley of Burton, WV, Jay Thomas, his wife Sharla Himmelrick of Rush Run, WV, and Christi, with her husband Frank Sloan of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Sondra Hosey of Sheperdstown, WV, Jeffrey Evans of Fort Ashby, WV, Shawn Evans of Burleson, TX, Michael Himmelrick of Murrell’s Inlet, SC, Matt Himmelrick of Delaware, OH, J. T. Himmelrick of Avella, PA, Brady Himmelrick of Wheeling, WV, Meredith Sloan and Thomas Sloan of Myrtle Beach, SC; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Surviving also of the immediate family is one sister, Beth Pyles of Columbia, SC and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Himmelrick; one sister, Inga Yoho; and three brothers, Rex Rush, Lyle Rush, and Oran Neale Rush.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Linda Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery.
