Gertrude Clovis Park Henderson, 94, of Camp Run Road, Wadestown, WV was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Macdale, WV.

She was born April 1, 1911 at Camp Run, a daughter of the late Forest Clovis and Bertie White Clovis. In her early life she was a part time clerk at the Burton, WV post office and formerly worked at Whitesides Department Store in Morgantown. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother.

She was a member of the Wadestown United Methodist Church, the WSCS of the church, the Tops Chapter of Wadestown and the Clay Battelle Senior Citizens.

Surviving are three sons & spouses, Fred and Linda Park of Monumental, Clarence and Linda Park of Wadestown, and Jay and Carolyn Park of Blacksville; one daughter & spouse, Nola and David Chisler of Blacksville, with whom Mrs. Henderson made her home; a step son & spouse, Robert & Becky Henderson of Morgantown and a step-daughter, Roberta Sprowls of West Finley, PA; seven grandchildren & spouses, Brian & Audrey Park of Jakes Run, Craig Park of Monumental, Bruce & Cathy Chisler of Blacksville, Jeff & Terri Park of Mannington, Becky & Tom Hall of Adah, PA, Lisa & Dave Dyer of Sharpsburg, MD, and Jill & Doug Ammons of Pentress; four step-grandchildren, Terry Bostick of Bentleyville, PA, Linda Sprowls of West Finley, PA, and Apryle & Ashley Hall of Adah, PA; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Park, Morgan Dyer, Michael Dyer, Payton Hall, Brady Ammons, and Jalynn Park; four step-great-grandchildren, Samantha Bowser, Emily Essay, and Lindsay and Darcy Bostick.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Park who died in 1948; her second husband, Ray Henderson who died in 1976; a brother, James Clovis, and two sisters, Alta Whisler and Arley Bissett.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Friday with the Rev Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Park Cemetery at Miracle Run.
