GLENN L. SPITZNOGLE

          Glenn Lee Spitznogle, 91, of Blacksville, WV died Monday, January 31, 2022 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

          He was born August 6, 1930 at Mt. Morris, PA, a son of the late John Spitznogle and Mary E. Rose Spitznogle.

          Mr. Spitznogle worked as a butcher all of his life and operated a slaughter house in Blacksville for many years.

          Surviving are two sons and their spouses, Glenn L. Spitznogle, Jr. and his wife Marlene of Cameron, Louis Spitznogle and his wife Shelly of Pentress; one daughter and her husband, Donna Statler and her husband Harold of Morgantown; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Spitznogle, who died June 9, 2007; three brothers; and two sisters.

          All services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

          Burial will take place in the Blacksville Cemetery.  The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.

Sorry to hear of Glenn passing. Glenn was a good man and a very good butcher. I worked with Glenn and Jean during coal miner strikes, and we had great times together. My prayers go out to the family and friends.
