H. Margaret Tennant, 93, of Pentress was called home to be with her Lord on December 18, 2011 in the Sundale Nursing Home.
Margaret was born in Mt. Morris, PA on May 28, 1918, to the late Charles "Smuck" Spitznogle and Effie Lemley Spitznogle.
She is survived by her loving family, Wilbur Glenn and Mona, Larry and Judy, Allen and Donna; five grandchildren, Buck and Shawna Wilkins, Fred and Misty Hartman, Kevin and Amber Tennant, Michelle Tennant, and Todd Tennant; four great-grandchildren, Makayla Wilkins, Frederick Hartman, Mackenzie Tennant and Ryleigh Tennant; one brother, Herbert Spitznogle; one sister, Jane Bradfield; and two very special friends, Colleen Darling and Edith Staley.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tennant; two brothers, Donald and Benjamin Spitznogle; and one sister, Irene Wade Saville.
Margaret was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Monongalia General Hospital; all of the nurses and staff at Sundale Nursing Home for helping and caring for our mother, and all of the staff at Morgantown Hospice and a special thanks to Dr. Charlene Horan.
Family and friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday with Pastor David Tennant officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
