Harry F. Renner, 84, of Shepherdstown, WV and formerly of Hundred, WV died Thursday, April 4, 2002 in the Canterbury Center Nursing Facility in Shepherdstown.
He was born March 11, 1918 at Wadestown, WV a son of the late Wade and Dora Estel Renner.
Mr. Renner was a retired welder from Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation and retired with more than 30 years of service to the utility.He was an avid follower of high school football and loved playing the guitar.He was a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Terry Renner of Martinsburg, WV and Roger and Donna Reid Renner of Fairmont; one sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Allison Cross of Core; five grandchildren, Pamela Hardman of Hancock, MD, Terri Renner of Inwood, WV, Amber Whitacre of Cape Coral, FL and Rachel and Elizabeth Renner both of Fairmont; six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Delvera Renner on November 23, 1999; two brothers, L. Roy Renner and Rector Renner who died as an infant; and one sister, Burnett Lynch.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 7-9 PM Saturday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Sunday with the Evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating.Interment will follow in the Cunningham Memorial Gardens near Burton.
