Harry "Pap" Eugene Moore, 70, of Blacksville, went to be with the Lord following a short illness, Saturday, December 21, 2013 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born June 21, 1943 at Mt. Union, PA, a son of the late Harry John Moore and Frances Elizabeth Horne Moore.

Mr. Moore was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Morgantown Moose Lodge #236.

Harry was a member of the Blacksville Baptist Church.

He was Pap to many, an avid bowler, and bingo player. He was a huge fan of the WVU Mountaineers, Steelers, Pirates, and Altoona Curve. He enjoyed spending time at the Blacksville Senior Center and the highlight of his life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Debora Zechman Moore; one son, John Moore and his wife Sherry of Morgantown; two daughters, Wendy Sue Vankirk and husband Jim of Westover and Brenda Lee Hallett and husband Dwayne of Morgantown; one brother, Charles Moore of Downingtown, PA; one sister, Dorothy McCeary of Mt. Union, PA; nine granchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Moore and Raymond Moore; and three sisters, Gladys Detweiller, Mildred Moore, and Helen Neal.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday, December 26. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
