Iva Georgia (Sapp) Littell, 101, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at home.She was born October 13, 1900 in Wetzel County, WV a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Sole) Sapp.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert S. Littell; brothers, Ed, Willie, Hugh and Jeff Sapp; sisters, Lizzie Sapp and Lucy Hostuttler; sons-in-law, Ralph Riter, Linwood Howell, Donald Burch and William Burch; daughters-in-law, Maxine, Delores and Eleanor; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Knob Fork, WV and attended the New Manchester Christian Church.
Survivors include seven sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Betty Littell, John and Betty Littell, Frank Littell, Marvin and Lou Littell and Leighton "Jack" and Joyce Littell all of Warren, Ohio and Charles and Rose Littell and William Elwood Littell both of New Manchester, WV;five daughters and son-in-law, Mrs. William (Ellen) Burch, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Burch, Mrs. Ralph (Angie) Riter all of New Cumberland, WV,Mrs. Linwood (Glenna) Howell of Fayetteville, NC and Mr. and Mrs. Locklynmoore (Erma) Stoneking of Norwalk, CA; thirty nine grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and seventy five great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4 to 9 PM at the Turley Funeral Home, 109 N. Chester St., New Cumberland, WV.
Friends will then be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Tennant Funeral Home on US 250, Hundred, WV.Funeral services will be held in the Tennant Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2002 with Rev. Sherrill Fritts and Rev. Rick Tinsky officiating.Interment will follow in the Anderson-Bethel Cemetery in Littleton, WV.
