James D. "Danny" Stieringer, 53, of Daybrook, WV died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1956 at Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Barbara Bolyard McCoy of Blacksville and the late James D. Stieringer, Sr.
Danny was disabled and formerly worked cutting right of ways for Pennline Services. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, District 31 of Fairmont.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is his step-father, Carley McCoy of Blacksville; his girlfriend, Brenda Miller of Daybrook; two sons, James D. "J. D." Stieringer, III and John R. Stieringer, both of Daybrook; two daughters, Mary Chaney of Daybrook and Stephanie Stieringer of Connellsville, PA; one brother, Rodney Stieringer of Morgantown; two sisters, Tammie Stieringer of Waynesburg, PA and Kim Paugh of Morgantown; and ten grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Tuesday with the Pastor Freddie Eddy II officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Preston County.
