James Eddy, 80, of Brave, PA died Monday, August 29, 2011 at his residence.
He was born October 22, 1930 at Jakes Run a son of the late Simmie Ray Eddy and Bessie Mae Huff Eddy.
Jim was a retired diesel mechanic.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Surviving are his second wife, Esther Jean Bell Eddy; one son, Ronald Wade Eddy of Brave; five step-children, James Donald Singleterry of New Orleans, LA, Kitten Hillberry of Brave, Judy Rastoka of Waynesburg, Tom Eddy of Bluff, and Sean Eddy of Waynesburg; three sisters, Madeline Ruth Moore of Spraggs, Doris Jean Bedillion of Graysville, and Edith Pearl Stoneking of Pine Bank; five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred M. Harry Eddy; three sons, Richard Wayne Eddy, Steven Lane Eddy, and a son who died in infancy; three sisters, Margaret Wildean Brummage, Dorothy Louise Walker, Emma Jane Blunt; three brothers, Billy Dale (Smokey) Eddy, Kenneth Eugene (Fish) Eddy, and Floyd Earl (Stub) Eddy.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with Rev. Samuel K. Hibbs, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
