JAMES KNISELY
James G. Knisely, 73, of Mannington, WV died Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Jim was born February 18, 1948 at Fairmont, a son of the late John Knisely and Joy Ellen Swiger Knisely.
Mr. Knisely worked as a coal miner at Consolidation Coal Company Loveridge Mine in Fairview for over 25 years. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Jean Tennant Knisely; one son and his spouse, Michael Knisely and Jennifer of Frankford, WV; two sisters, Janet K. Summers of Fairview and June Bauer of Pittsburgh, PA; three grandchildren, Skylar Knisely and his companion, Liz Rende, Olivia Knisely, and Tessa Knisely and her companion Justin Stevens; two step-grandchildren, Abby Brown and Seth Brown; one great-granddaughter, Riley Kay Knisely; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Melvin Knisely and William R. Brown; and his mother and father-in-law, Leon Merl “PI” Tennant and Nancy Louise Palmer Tennant.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-8 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Larry Harker officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mannington Volunteer Fire Department, 101 Clayton Street, Mannington, WV 26582.

Jim was one in a Million. Thanks Big Bub for being so good to our daughter when she was little. We all have great memories of when the kids were small . Carolyn we will be thinking of you during this time. Will see you when we come back in the spring.

Oh, Carolyn, I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was one of my favorite people in high school and by far one of the best. My sister Lynn and I were blessed to have known him. I hope he knew how much he was loved. You will be in our prayers. 😥
