James L. Taylor, 93, of Burton, WV died Monday, March 5, 2001 in the Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Facility.
He was born July 11, 1907 at Coburn, WV a son of the late LeRoy and Malinda Barr Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was self employed in the construction business, was formerly a Wetzel County Deputy Sheriff,owned and operated the Hundred Milling Company and was a former employee of Bells Market.He was a Methodist by faith and a World War II Veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are one brother, Pershing R. Taylor of Hundred; three sisters, Dolly Hostutler of Hundred, VioletLambert of Charleston, WVand Laura Anderson of Belle, WV;several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Taylor, a step son, Forrest E. Davis, Jr.; five brothers, Harry W., Thomas J., Dewey, John and Sheridan Taylor; two sisters, Lucy Taylor and Chloe Clayton.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2001.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 8, 2001 with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery in Burton.
