James Robert Troy, 68, of Fairmont, formerly of the Glover Gap area near Metz, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at his residence.
He was born March 17, 1947 at Colfax, a son of the late Robert Harold Troy and Margaret Elizabeth Maine Troy.
Jim was a retired machine attendant for Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting in Fairmont.He was a United States Army Veteran.He formerly attended the First Century Church at Metz.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Darlene Thomas Troy; one son and his wife, James Troy Jr. and his wife Misty of Mannington; two grandsons, Brogan Alexander Troy and Brock Andrew Troy; one brother, Donald Troy of Fairmont; and two sisters, Beverly Jean Pethtel of Mannington and Barbara Jane Santee Lewis of Grant Town.
At the request of the deceased there will not be any funeral home visitation or funeral services.All services will be private for immediate family members only.
Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
