James W. Tennant, 65, of Daybrook, died suddenly on May 15, 2013.
He was born November 27, 1947 a son of the late Warren G. Tennant and Rose Higgins Tennant.
Surviving are two daughters, Nicole L. Wolfe of Morgantown and Rebecca R. Tennant of Pentress; four grandchildren, Gabrielle and Preston Wolfe, Raven Tennant and Morgan Delaney; two brothers, Pete and Gary Tennant; three sisters, Mary Knisely, Bernice Tennant, and Bonnie Simpson; long time friends and caregivers, Debbie and Mike Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Varner.
James served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served from 1967 to 1969.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-8 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 8:00 PM Friday with Joyce Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
