James Willard "Jim" Titus, 79, of Big Run, WV went to be with his Lord and savior Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his home.
Jim was born on August 7, 1929, the son of the late Art & Dorsie Shreves Titus, and the grandson of the late Ranze & Sally Hostuttler Shreves.
Mr. Titus was a member of the Higgins Chapel Church of Christ.
He was an avid farmer and wood worker. He was great at making wood crafts. He has a mule "Annie" that he dearly loved.
Jim was retired from the Wetzel County Board of Education. He retired as a school bus driver with over 40 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Shirley, who was his soul mate and best friend. Two sons and their wives, James L. and his wife Mary Faye Titus of Big Run and Timothy E. and his wife Glenda of Coburn; Three daughters and their husbands, Karen Cross of Pine Grove, Teresa Loy and her husband Mark of New Martinsville, and Brandi Carson and her husband Tim of Big Run; six grandchildren and their spouses, Matt and his wife Vickey Titus, Greg and his wife Beth Titus, Mike and Lisa Wright, Jonathan Cross, and Tammy Chambers and her husband Ryan; nine great-grandchildren, Brooke and Bailey Titus, Dylan Yoho, Autumn Wright, Tobi, Maci, and Blaze Wright, Talan Chambers and Brandi Sams and her husband Jeremy; one great-great-grandchild, Cooper Sams; two brothers Stanley "Tad" Titus of Colliers and Robert "Lee" Titus of Alma, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a son Ricky Titus who died on March 20, 1976 and a brother, Ronnie Titus.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 4-8 PM Monday. There will be no funeral service. A graveside service will be private and held at the conveniece of the family with Jack Crihfield officiating. Burial will be at a private location.
