Jane Tennant, 81 of Blacksville, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at her residence.
She was born April 4, 1931 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Lewis Russell Lemley and Bertha May Moore Lemley.
Mrs. Tennant was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Jane was a member and treasurer of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church of Wadestown.
Surviving are one son and his wife, Richard A. and Penny Tennant of Blacksville; two granddaughters and their husbands, Brandi and Gary Wolfe of Maidsville and Angie and Craig Costello of Blacksville; one brother and sister-in-law, Learnie and LeeLee Lemley of Pentress; one great-grandson, Adrian Costello.
Mrs. Tennant was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Tennant, who died on March 3, 1996; three brothers, Winfred Lemley, LeRoy Lemley, and Willie B. Lemley; and three sisters, Minnie Tennant, Betty Tennant, and Cathern Shaw.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
